A Gift of Scars

Wednesday, March 4th
@ 6:30 PM

“A Gift of Scars” is a work of gritty historical fiction set on the Canadian prairies during the desperate years of the Great Depression in the 1930’s. Murder and mayhem, prejudice and partisan politics invade the lives of its cast of colourful characters. According to author Gregg Norman, “They didn’t call the decade the Dirty Thirties for nothing.”

Norman retired from the practice of law in the oil and gas industry to pursue a long list of other interests which included ranching, wildlife conservation, television production, auctioneering, international sales and a lifelong love of writing. He and his wife, Jenine, have lived on the shores of Dauphin Lake since 2016. “We love the area,” he says. “Dauphin is a wonderful city.”

Copies will also be available for purchase at the launch. He will be reading from his novel, answering questions, and signing books.
